The customer mainly bends 1.5–2.0 mm mild steel sheets and required stable bending angles, accurate dimensions, and smooth forming surfaces for batch manufacturing. According to the material thickness and bending requirements, we recommended an AMADA series 85° standard punch with R0.8 tip radius, matched with an 85° single V die with V12 opening width. This tooling combination is commonly used for air bending 1.5–2.0 mm carbon steel and can achieve stable 90° bending results after springback compensation.
The punch and die were manufactured from high-quality 42CrMo alloy steel with hardened working surfaces and precision grinding to ensure excellent wear resistance, long service life, and consistent bending accuracy. The tooling also provides good machine compatibility and easy setup for daily production.
After receiving the tooling, the customer reported smooth operation, reliable angle consistency, and improved production efficiency.
